Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with zeal and vigor and enthusiasm at CCL HQ, Ranchi along with the different operational areas of the company. The employees of company through various activities and programs paid tribute to the father of the nation. 

The program commenced with CMD, CCL Shri P.M. Prasad garlanding the picture of Mahatma Gandhi. He along with Director Technical (P&P), CCL Shri V. K Srivastava, Director Finance Shri N. K Agarwal and CVO Shri S. K. Sinha offered floral tributes. Shri Prasad inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi park at CCL HQ in Ranchi. CMD, CCL planted saplings along with the functional directors and CVO CCL at the park.  Swachhta pledge was administered by CMD, CCL to all the employees and other stakeholders present. Speaking on the occasion Shri Prasad said that the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi are eternal and we should try to follow the philosophy. He stated sincere homage to Father of the Nation would be when his dream of Swachch Bharat is achieved and everybody should work towards it.

A Swachchta and Covid awareness Rath(Mobile Van) was flagged off by CMD, CCL. The rath will travel to different parts of Ranchi and nearby location to create awareness about Swachcta and Precautions to be taken against Covid Pandemic. Shri Prasad also inaugurated various stalls relating to Khadi and tribal items at CCL HQ. General Managers, HoDs and various other employees were present on the occasion. 

Later in the day CMD, CCL Shri Prasad inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi multi skill development center built by CCL under its CSR program near Jonha.  The company constructed the center under a MOU with Jharkhand Skill Development Mission society and will provide training and residential facility in different trades to around 100 beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion Shri Prasad said that company is committed towards welfare of the people of state. He reiterated that Skill development is an essential segment of the company’s CSR program and stated that CCL organizes various skill development and self-empowerment training in its operational areas.

In accordance with the instruction of the Government company is observing the entire month of October as “SwachchtaMah” and various programs are being organized on the occasion. 

Everybody who attended the programme wore mask and maintained social distancing and other safety protocols of Covid pandemic.
