Central Coalfields Limited signs MoU with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO)

Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited has signed a MoU on Jan 7, 2019 with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a Government of India CPSE registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 for distribution of Aids and appliances to Divyangjans in and around CCL Command Area under CCL CSR Program. On behalf of CCL, Sri Jitendra Tiwari, GM (SD&CSR), CCL signed MoU with Sri Ajay Chaudhary, DGM (CSR)/CVO, ALIMCO Kanpur. The MoU was signed in the presence of Sri R.S. Mahapatro, Director (Personnel), CCL who was of the view that the aim and objective of the project is to empower the persons with disabilities, which are by and large from poorest/disadvantaged sections of the society by providing various aids and appliances. The project will be implemented in CCL Command Areas.Sri Alok Kumar, Sr. Manager (Personnel/SD&CSR), CCL provided the following information regarding implantation of the said project:
1.In the FY 2018-19, project will benefit around 1000 beneficiaries residing in Command Areas of
2.Beneficiary assessment camps will be organized in Ranchi, Giridih (Dhori), Chatra (Tandwa) and Ramgarh district of Jharkhand.
3.Letters will be sent to DCs of all districts falling within the Command Area of CCL for sharing the list of eligible beneficiaries
4.Total project cost is Rs. 1.00 Crore
Providing Aids & Appliances is a life changing proposition to Persons with Disability (Divyangjans). It will not only enable them to lead a more productive life but will also enable them to join mainstream and be less dependent on others for leading a normal life.During this occasion, Sri R.K. Srivastava, Chief Manager (Civil/SD & CSR), Sri K.A. Sundar, Chief Manager (Personnel/SD & CSR), Ms Nikita Bhadani, Assistant Manager (CD/SD&CSR) and Ms. Pooja Prasad, Assistant Manager (CD/SD & CSR) were also present.
