Sri R. S. Mahapatro honored with HR Super Achievers Awards

Director (Personnel), CCL Shri R S Mahapatro has been honored with “HR Super Achievers” Award during the "World HRD Congress" held in Taj Landes, Mumbai, today on February 16. Shri Mahapatro has been awarded for his outstanding work in the field of HR. He has been awarded in the PSU Category.

Sri R S Mahapatro took over as Director (Personnel), Central Coalfields Limited (a Subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd.) on 8th June 2015. Before taking over as Director (Pers.), CCL, he has more than 28 years of experience in Power, Oil and Coal Sectors in Different capacities. Sri RS Mahapatro successfully shouldered varies and higher responsibilities such as GM (P&IR) in CCL, Asstt. GM (HR), EIL & Senior Manager (HR), NHPC. He is a physics graduate from Khalikote College, Behrampur, Odisha and did his Post- graduation in IR and Labour Welfare. Sri Mahapatro has handled many areas HR functions, Liaison and co-ordination during his tenure in NHPC, EIL and Coal India. Many awards for HR, Rajbhasha & Environment have been bestowed upon him during his working in various PSUs.

Sri RS Mahapatro as Director (P) from June, 2015 has brought Paradigm shift in HR functioning initiatives in the areas of IR, Welfare and CSR. The company has earned a good image which has brought laurels to the company. He has undergone training in advance management programme in Germany and Sweden on ‘Advance Technology and Organizational Culture’ sponsored by Coal India Ltd. Due to his able guidance and contribution in the field of Human Recourses and CSR, CCL has been awarded ‘Greentech HR Gold award for innovation in recruitment’ by Greentech foundation, ‘Excellence in CSR’ awards, HR and Leadership Awards 2016 and HR Leadership Awards (PSU focus) 2017 by World HRD congress. Sri Mahapatro’s areas of interest include improving productivity, social upliftment, rural development, poverty alleviation, environment and ecology. He has been passionately working for reforms in administration to make it responsive to the need and aspirations of the communities. His fortes are transparency and leadership with teamwork.
