"Swachhta Pakhwara" Starts off in CCL with Swacchta Oath

On the Second anniversary of 'Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan,' Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) started off "Swachhta Pakhwara" with CMD   Shri Gopal Singh administering the Swacchhta Oath.  Sri D K Ghosh, Director (F), Sri Subir Chandra, Director (Tech./Oprns), Sri  R S Mahapatro, Director(Personnel) and Shri A K Mishra, Director (Project & Planning) along with GMs/HoDs, officers and employees from headquarters participated in the programme.

Inspiring everyone for "Cleanliness drive," Sri Gopal Singh said that dream of Mahatma Gandhi was not only to gain political freedom from the British regime but also create a clean and developed nation. He said that to achieve success in this great mission, we need to be persistent in our efforts. Sri Singh said that it is responsibility of each and every member of CCL extended family to ensure cleanliness around our home and work place, both. He further said that we need to changes in our attitude towards cleanliness. 

On this occasion, Sri Singh announced that CCL will be carrying out special cleanliness mission for proper disposal of garbage generated from our mine, colonies and offices. CMD also announced that CCL will be conducting cleanliness drive on first and third Saturday of every month for four hours in places around CCL headquarters and command areas. He motivated the “Safai karmchari” by distributing safety kit and explained them its importance for their safety from different diseases. It has been made mandatory to wear these safety kits while cleaning the places for these employees. 
 
Addressing the gathering, Shri R S Mahapatro said that cleanliness campaign is everyone’s responsibility and we need to give proper attention towards it. Since the start of this clean India mission, two years back, we can feel significant changes in the attitude of every Indian regarding cleanliness and this can also be seen at public places. He further said that under the leadership of CMD CCL we will be able to create"clean environment" in CCL.

Earlier, students of DAV, Gandhinagar and Kendra Vidyalaya, Rajendra Nager gave the message of cleanliness through small play. Members of Rock and Rope Adventure Group, Ranchi were felicitated by CMD Sri Gopal Singh for their successful expedition and cleanliness mission of Mt. Yunum, (20,072 feet) in Himalaya which was sponsored by CCL. 

The programme was coordinated by Miss Nisha Ranjan and Nishant Rohila. Vote of thanks was proposed by Sri VN Prasad, GM(Welfare).
