During the "Coal Minister's Award 22-23" ceremony held in New Delhi, Central Coalfields Limited received awards in three distinct categories. The company was awarded the first prize in both the safety and quality categories. Additionally, CCL won third place in the sustainability category. The awards  were presented by Shri Pralhad Joshi, the honourable minister for coal, mines, and parliamentary affairs. Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary Coal, and Shri Pramod Agrawal, Chairman CIL, were also present. Shri P.M. Prasad, CMD CCL, and Shri R.B. Prasad, Director (Operations,) accepted the awards on behalf of the company.

On this occasion, Shri Joshi also felicitated the General Managers of Magadh Sanghmitra, Hazaribag, Barka Sayal, and Argada for their exemplary performance.

CCL has been constantly winning awards in different categories at the coal mnister’s award functions.

CCL CMD Shri P.M. Prasad stated that these awards are the consequence of the hard work and dedication of every company employee. The company spares no effort to ensure an accident-free workplace, according to his further comments. Shri Prasad stated that the company is committed to meeting the nation's energy needs through sustainable mining.

The previous fiscal year marked CCL's greatest performance ever, with production, shipment, and OB removal all reaching new heights
