Seven students of CCL Ke Laal and Laadli scheme qualified for IIT JEE Advance. These students belonging mostly to weaker section of the society proved that with perseverance, commitment and correct guidance there is no mountain too high to climb. CCL KE Lal Siddhnat Shekhar led the field and secured All India Rank 4946.

CCL Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD), PM Prasad congratulated the children and their families for this incredible achievement. He stated there is no dearth of talented students in Jharkhand, and through schemes like these the company’s objective is to provide opportunities and guidance to these students.  He expressed optimism that in future too students of this scheme will bring laurels to the state. He acknowledged the splendid work of everybody associated with this scheme.

Director Personal, CCL Shri Vinay Ranjan expressed delight in the success of the students. He said that the company is committed towards upliftment of people of the state, and schemes like these are a testament of that.  He wished the qualified students for their future.

CCL Ke Lal and Ladli established in 2012 is a pioneering CSR initiative of Central Coalfields Limited in education sector. Under this scheme the meritorious students belonging to the downtrodden section of society selected through a state vide test gets free coaching for IIT, lodging, schooling and boarding facilities. The coaching is provided by ex IIT alumni who are working in the company. Since its establishment the scheme has achieved stupendous success and many students of the previous batches are studying in the premier engineering colleges of the country, including IITs, NITs. Many Students are also working with leading corporate sector companies.
