Sri Prasad, New CMD, CCL is inspiring the team as a true leader

Shri P M Prasad after assuming charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, on 1st Sept, he started visiting areas of the company and inspiring the team as a true leader. It is known fact that the true leaders work right alongside the people they lead in order to get to know and care about the people they are leading.
Today, the New CMD visited Ashoka open cast-mine of Ashoka Project, PLR Patch, Conveyor Belt Site and planted a sapling at Kayakalp Vatika. The entire idea is to take stock of situations and motivate the workforce to give momentum to the ongoing coal production. Earlier, Sri Prasad has visited Madadh-Amrapali Project, the largest coal producing areas of the company and Rajhara Area of the company. The new CMD also visited and inspected Rohini, KDH, Dakra and Purnadih of N K Area and interacted with the workforce.
Prior to area visits of CCL, Sri Prasad has presided the first Co-ordination meeting with Area GM and HODs/GMs of headquarters on digital platform. He also passed necessary instructions so that the company can increase its production.
Shri Prasad, who has put up 36 years of experience in the varied facets of operations and management, inspected three open-cast mines- Magadh, Amrapali and Teatariakhar besides four sidings i.e Shivpur, Phulbasia, Bukru and Balumath. As a true leader takes the time to communicate often to their team in order to show that their team is valued and important to him, Sri Prasad interacted the employees and stakeholders.
Sri M V Rajimwale, GM/TS to CMD and others accompanied the new CMD, CCL during his visit to areas.
Prior to CCL, Sri Prasad was working in the same capacity in Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), another subsidiary of Coal India. Amid the challenging conditions, he led from the front with commitment, vigor, and dedication. He spearheaded the company’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and was instrumental in various initiatives to transform the overall performance of the company.
Shri Prasad is renowned for his interpersonal skills and is a firm believer in teamwork and possesses excellent technical expertise. Under his guidance the company is poised to attain new milestones and scale further heights of success.
