CMD CCL hands over cheque of Rs.20 Cr. to Hon’ble Jharkhand CM

CCL Rises to the Occasion, Multiplies CSR Activities during ongoing pandemic
The proverb, ‘cometh the hour, cometh the man’ holds well for Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, which has not only multiplied its CSR initiatives manifolds to feed thousands of poors, migrant workers coming to their home districts in Jharkhand, sanitizing localities in around its command areas, distributing masks and sanitizers or running community kitchen during the ongoing Corona pandemic but contributed Rs. 20 crores to the State Disaster Management Authority, Jharkhand to combat Covid-19. In addition to Rs.20 crores, additional about 1.30 crore rupees have been given to the district administration of all the 8 districts where CCL operates. CCL has been working under the guidance of Hon’ble Union Coal Minister Sri Pralhad Joshi so that needy get suitable support during the pandemic.
Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL Sri Gopal Singh handed over cheque to Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Heman Soren at Project Building, Dhurwa.
CMD, Sri Gopal Singh said that these are challenging days for the country and their priority is to help the needy section of the society which will help to mitigate the disastrous impact of this pandemic. He stressed on the fact that despite these challenging circumstances the employees of the company are working at their utmost capacity to ensure that there is no shortage of coal supply. Shri Singh reiterated that the workforce of CCL will continue to work with utmost dedication to ensure that the help and support is available to the people and nobody has to sleep hungry because of lack of resources.
CCL under the able guidance of its CMD Sri Gopal Singh has been in alert mode since the initial signs of the pandemic and started its preparation way earlier. All Directors of CCL including Personnel Sri Vinay Ranjan and other stakeholders are working day in and day out under the leadership and guidance of CMD Sri Gopal Singh so that the unprecedented crisis is dealt effectively and needy get suitable support from CCL during the ongoing pandemic.
CCL’s Central Hospital Gandhinagar, Ranchi is privileged to become the first and only COVID19 hospital of Coal India and later Central Hospital, Ramgarh joined the list. CCL’s team of doctors and paramedical staff has not only successfully cured about 119 corona positive patients till date with their utmost dedication. Even TruNat Machine has been installed at Gandhingar Hospital, Ranchi for screening of suspected Covid-19 patients.
Currently, 10 patients are undergoing treatment in both the hospitals. CCL was ready with its isolation wards of total 180 beds in four central hospitals at Gandhinagar (Ranchi), Dakra (Ranchi), Nai Sarai (Ramgarh) and Dhori (Bokaro) by the mid of March itself. Orders of additional ventilators and PPE kits were placed by the time lockdown started.
The Company has been distributing food packets among poor, laborers and migrant workers in all its command areas located across 8 districts of Jharkhand. In a unique noble initiative it has supplied more than 14,000 migrants traveling back to their home on Shramik Special trains, when it crossed Ranchi, Hatia or Barkakana Railway stations.
