Migrant workers from Jharkhand, who were stranded in Tripura during the Nationwide lockdown, were able to return home to their respective places by Shramik Special Train on Monday evening. After covering long distance, they reached Hatia railway station where food packets and water bottles were handed to them by Central Coalfields Ltd(CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, with support from the railway authority of Hatia railway station.
Migrants boarded Shramik Special Train at Udayput railway station in Tripura and their destination is Lohardaga railway station. CCL under the guidance of CMD CCL Shri Gopal Singh and directive of Director(Pers) Sri Vinay Ranjan is committed to deliver in the large interest of the society during Coronavirus pandemic as migrants from Jharkhand working in different parts of the country started returning to their homes in various districts of Jharkhand.
General Manager(Welfare) Dr. A K Singh, Sr. Manager(Pers) Shri Sanjay Kumar and others were present during the distribution of food items.
CCL, one of the leading Public sector undertakings in the state, distributed 1200 packets of food and 1200 water bottles at the Hatia railway station to the migrants returning to their home State. On Saturday and Sunday too, migrants workforce coming from Shramik Train were given food packets and water bottles.
