Adding another feather on its cap, Shri Gopal Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Central Coalfields Ltd got another prestigious “Energy & Environment  Foundation Global Excellence Award 2020” in Coal Sector  for his professional approach and dedication towards coal sector and other outstanding individual contributions.  

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel, Govt. of India handed over award to Shri Gopal Singh during an inaugural ceremony of 10th World PetroCoal Congress and World Future of the Summit at Convention Centre-NDCC, New Delhi today. A three-day mega function will conclude on 17th February 2020.

The Energy and Environment Foundation with the support of Ministries of Power, Coal, Govt. of India and NITI Aayog has jointly organized three-day 10th World Petro Coal Congress and World Future of the Summit. Participants from various countries like Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, USA, UK etc along with leading executives from Natural Gas, Oil, Coal and Bio fuels companies were present  to grace the occasion. 

"This is a true recognition of the work done by CCL for meeting energy requirement of the Nation with due respect to environment. I am privileged to receive this Award on behalf of my very motivated Team." Shri Singh said. He reiterated that the Ministry of Coal and other stakeholders are extending support to CCL that yielded double digit growth for last few years. 

The award has been given to CMD, CCL acknowledging his dynamic leadership for working in the fields of environment and leveraging its value for social transformation by carrying out various CSR initiatives under “Kayakalp Model of Governance.”  The company is committed towards the holistic growth of downtrodden, employees and other needy people under the dynamic leadership of Shri Gopal Singh.
