Coal India Medical Conference 2020 begins

A three-day long a mega Coal India Medical Conference (Cimecon) 2020 began at Indian Institute of Coal Mines, Kanke Road on Friday.  The seminar is organized jointly by Central Coalfields Limited and IICM. 
 
Shri Gopal Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Other distinguished guest of honours were Shri Bhola Singh Director(P&P), CCL, Shri N.K Agarwal Director (Fin), CCL , Dr Alok Roy  Director Medica , Dr Rajeev Rathi from Max Super Speciality Clinic, New Delhi,  Dr. R Arya, Dr O.P Saxena, Dr. MP Singh- EDMS, Coal India. Dr P.C Mishra HOD, IICM, Dr C.P.Dham, CMO, CCL, Dr. Manju Mishra, CMS, Hqrs, CCL, Dr. Ratnesh Jain, CMO, GNH, Dr V.K Singh, CMO, GNH, Dr D.K.L Chowhan, CMS, CSR, GNH and other representatives of different subsidiaries of Coal India were also present. Altogether 42 papers will be presented during the seminar.
 
 The program started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Shri Gopal Singh and other dignitaries. A welcome song was performed by students of D.A.V Gandhinagar.
 
The Chief Guest Shri Gopal Singh in his inaugural address thanked the participants and expressed his pleasure on the fact that renowned medical professionals like Padma Shri Dr Digambar Behra, DR.N. K Pandey and other illustrious doctors will be presenting their papers during three-day technical session. He expressed confidence that the seminar will be a great learning experience for all the concerned. He further stated that the topic of the seminar which is  “care of the elderly” is hugely relevant in the present scenario as life span of elderly people are increasing due to advancement in medical science. Talking about the theme of conference, Shri Singh said that he personally believes that the best medicine for the elderly is the love and care. He further said that if doesn’t work, then increase the dose of love and care. He also emphasized on the important role that the doctors play in the society.
 
Shri Bhola Singh Director, Shri N.K Agarwal, Dr Alok Roy and others also addressed delivered their speech highlighting importance of the seminar as in coal industry there is interface between human and machines.
 
Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, Dr Rajeev Rathi from Max  Super Speciality Hospital, Dr Anshuman Mukherjee from Fortis and others also delivered lecture on cardiac related issues.
Dr C.P. Dham, CMS CCL gave the welcome speech while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr V.K Singh. Dr. Mayuri Bhattarcharya compered the programme.
 
The Cimecon 2020 has commenced on evening of 6th February with a live ENT workshop conducted by Dr Rakesh Vishwakarma, ENT specialist form Apollo Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujrat.
