International Women's Day was celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm by women workforce of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) at Vichar Manch, Darbhanga House, CCL on the theme 'Balance for Better' today. On this occasion Smt Pramila Singh, wife of CMD CCL/BCCL was Chief Guest of the function. Guests of Honor, Smt. Ashwani Pawar, Lieutenant Col,  Mrs A Vijayalakshmi, IPS, Smt. Sonali Das, Ex Bureau Chief, Times of India(Ranchi),  Smt. Sunita Mahapatro W/o of Director (Personnel), Smt Archana Srivastava, W/o Director (Technical/Operation), Smt Nidhi Srivastava, W/o CVO were present to grace the occasion along with General Manager(NEE) Vinita Saran, General Manager(Samadhan) Ms. Rashmi Dayal, Dr. Manju Mishra, Dr. Suman Sinha, Dr. Mayuri Bhattacharya, Smt Archana Sinha, Smt Rekha Pandey, Smt Rubni Toppo, Smt Ruby Ranjan, and large number women employees from CCL HQ, Central Hospital, Gandhinagar and command areas of CCL.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest Smt Pramila Singh congratulated everyone on the occasion of the International Women Day. She said that country is heading towards the goal of women empowerment and we need to continue our endeavors in this direction.  Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Ashwani Pawar, Mrs A Vijayalakshmi and Smt. Sonali Das motivated the women employees to be the torch bearers of women empowerment, which starts from our homes. 

On this occasion present dignitaries honored the women of different areas of CCL for their outstanding contributions. Women workforce of the company participated with great enthusiasm in the much-awaited programme. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rakhi Gupta and Mrs. Rupa Das while Ms Rashmi Dayal, General Manager (Samadhan) delivered the Welcome Speech and vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. Vinita Sharan, GM (NEE).
