Kayakalp Public School, Dhori - an significant step for "Inclusive Growth" launched

In yet another landmark event in CCL's sustained endeavours for the inclusive growth via its Kayakalp Schemes, “Kayakalp Public School” was started off at Dhori Area of CCL in Bokaro District. CMD, CCL, Shri Gopal Singh And Hon'ble MP Shri Ravindra Pandey inaugurated the "Kayakalp Public School" in presence of Hon’ble MLA (Bermo) Shri Yogeshwar Mahto, Hon’ble MLA (Dumri), Shri JagarnathMahto, Director (Personnel) Shri R S Mahapatro, General Manager (Dhori), Shri AK Choubey, General Manager (Kathara) Shri Prakash Chandra, General Manager (B&K), Shri M K Punjabi, other dignitaries, CCL employees and hundreds of locals. On January 15, 2018, on the initiative of CMD Shri Gopal Singh, the first "Kayakalp Public School" was inaugurated in Ranchi. The ideas behind the Kayakalpschool is to provide quality education in English medium to the children from marginalised and impoverished section of the society, something which they have not even dreamt off. The Kayakalp Public School has been successfully in its goal, wherein children of beggars, ragpickers and other needful families from past one year are regularly attending school. These children along with quality education are being provided with free books, dress and mid-day meal. The Kayakalp School at Dhori will continue the legacy established by its Ranchi edition.
Welcoming everyone on the occasion, CMD Shri Gopal Singh said that as responsible public enityCCL is committed to the inclusive growth of society and nation both.This Kayakalp Public School will set an example like its predecessor at Ranchi. In this school, the children of those poor, deprived and marginalised families will be able to secure free education in English medium along with other facilities. Shri Singh emphasized that these children have the same rights on education, health and other resources as much as anyone else have, therefore CCL is committed to ensure that they get the same. Shri Singh further added that about 64 schemes are being implemented for inclusive development in the field of education, skill development, health, sports etc. He said that the "Sports Academy" in Khelgaon, Ranchi conceptualized by Hon’ble Union Railway and Coal Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and Hon'ble Chief Minister, ShriRaghubar Das, is a one such unique scheme in which children aged between 8 to 12 years from across Jharkhand are selected and imparted world-class sports training along free boarding, lodging, schooling and monthly stipend. These children in a very short span of time have won more than 300 medals in school, district, state and national sport competitions with their hard work and talent, he informed the gathering. Shri Singh said that there is immense potential in BermoRegion and for this, all need to make a concerted effort. On this occasion, CMD Shri Singh also listened to the problems of public and directed the local management for proper timely redressal.
Hon'ble MP Shri Ravindra Pandey congratulating CCL in his address on this occasion, said that CMD Shri Singh has given a new gift to the area today. He said that the CCL has been running several welfare schemes at under its CSR activities in Bermo region, which is commendable and appreciable.
Hon’ble MLA (Bermo) Shri Yogeshwar Mahto, Hon’ble MLA (Dumri), Shri JagarnathMahto, Director (Personnel) Shri R S Mahapatro, General Manager (Dhori), Shri AK Choubey, General Manager (Kathara) Shri Prakash Chandra, General Manager (B&K), Shri M K Punjabi also addressed the meeting.
On this occasion, CMD CCL and Hon’ble Members of Parliament inaugurated repairs, computer repairing, automobile repairing, mobile repairing, food processing and beautician training programs online in various villages of Dhori area. Appreciating these initiative, Shri Singh said that it is a commendable effort towards providing employment and self-employment to the youth of the country.
