Republic Day celebrated in CCL with full enthusiasm

Director(Pers), CCL Shri R S Mahapatro hoisted the tricolor at Mahatma Gandhi Krindangan, Gandhinagar, Ranchi to mark the celebration of 70th Republic Day. Shri Mahapatro also hoisted a tri-colour at CCL Headquarters as well as at Gandhinagar Central Hospital.
Director(Tech/Oprns) Shri V K Srivastava, Director( P&P), Shri Bhola Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri A K Srivastava, Shri S S Mishra, DIG, CISF, General Managers and HODs from CCL headquarters, doctors, representatives of trade union, retired employees and other stakeholders were present to grace the occasion. Smt Sunita Mahapatro, wife of Director(Pers), Smt. Archana Srivastava, wife of Director(Tech/Oprns) and others were present.
CMD, CCL Shri Gopal Singh, who has been given additional charge of BCCL, hoisted a tricolor at Dhanbad. His address was telecast from BCCL at Mahatma Gandhi Krindangan, Gandhinagar, Ranchi. In his address, Shri Singh also covered various schemes being implemented by Central Government as well as State Government for development of each individual for making New India. He also talked about Hon’ble Coal Minister Shri Piyush Goel concerned about residents of Dhanbad and said he is in favour of early opening of Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway line. Shri Singh covered all issues including self-employment and skill development carried out by CCL.
Director (Pers) inspected the parade consisting of CCL security personnel, CISF Jawans, Army Band, students of DAV Gandhinagar, Gyanodaya School. Tricolor balloons were released by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
Shri R S Mahapatro, in his address, touched on a range of topics including the Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January, 1950 making India one of the most populous democracies of the world. He also talked about importance of coal which is meeting energy requirement of Nation. He also reiterated the objective of CCL i.,e overall development of villagers, downtrodden and workforce for inclusive growth.
Various cultural programmes were performed by schools students to mark Republic Day. Shri Mahapatro felicitated security personnel, students and others for their outstanding performance. A nukkar Natak was also performed to highlight that students of remote areas of Jharkhand can also crack IIT exams under the scheme of CCL Ke Lall and CCL Ki Ladli started by CMD CCL Shri Gopal Singh.
Earlier in the Day, Chief Manager(Pers) Shri Ravi Prakash hoisted tri-colour at a newly opened school- Kayakalp Public School, Bukru- which is for needy and downtrodden. This school was opened with 30 students on 15th January, 2018. There were also celebrations of Republic Day at other establishment of the company.
