CCL felicitated "Safai Mitra", its unsung heroes during a felicitation ceremony held under "Swachta Pakhwada" at Vichar Manch, Darbhanga House, CCL Headquarter, Ranchi today. On this occasion, CCL employees took pledge to make CCL Headquarter a "Plastic Free Zone." Chief Guest of the function CMD, CCL, Shri Gopal Singh, along with Director (Finance) Shri D K Ghosh and General Managers/HoDs, Officers, Staffs, Students, Safai Mitra, vendors and others were present. It is to be noted that "Swachhta Pakhwada" is being organized across CCL from June 16 to 30, 2018 in order to generate awareness among the employees and public through various events.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Shri Gopal Singh encouraged everyone to come forward and be part of this endeavor to make our country clean. This mission is in fact a process which starts from our home, schools, colleges and workplaces. Congratulating all the "Safai Mitra", he said that it is indeed an honor to felicitate you. Praising their efforts, Shri Singh said that your hard work and selfless service to keep the premises clean and beautiful is priceless. He said that it is our duty to care for them and make Safai Mitra's life better. He appreciated the CSR Department for their innovative programs, which were held during "Swachta Pakhwada".

Also on the occasion, CMD Shri Singh administered the oath to keep our surrounding clean and plastic free. Also, Jute baggages were distributed among the employees as an initiative to get rid of plastic. Student of IMS, Ranchi presented a skit during the function for creating awareness against plastic pollution. 

The program was organized successfully by General Manager (CSR), Shri Umesh Singh, Senior Manager (CSR) Shri Alok Gupta and his team. Manager (Finance), Shri A D Wadhwa coordinated the programme.
