Two meritorious candidates Nikhil Nishchal and Sidhanath who received training and guidance under CCL’s CSR programme CCL Ke Lala and Ladli (2016-18) cracked the prestigious JEE-Advanced 2018 exam. Hailing from modest background, both the students came out with flying colours after the declaration of results on 10th June.

Both the successful students along with other students studied in DAV Gandhinagar School, Ranchi in X1 & XII class.

Nishchal`s father is a farmer and earns less than Rs. 1 lakh a year through farming. His mother Smt. Nita Devi is a homemaker and his brother Nikit studies in Class-x in Bokaro. Nishchal, who passed class X from BRL DAV School in Bokaro, saw his life changing due to CCL’s sponsorship at DAV Gandhinagar School in Ranchi and IIT coaching. Another meritorious student, Sidhanth’s father happened to be a tailor, Sri Akhelesh Prasad. He earns anywhere between Rs. 7000/- and 10000/- a monthly. Mother Smt. Anjana Devi is a homemaker and no one in their family has ever held a government job.

CCL CMD Sri Gopal Singh expressed his happiness over the performance of both the students and wished them success in all their endeavours. Notably, CCL though its CSR activity helps the meritorious but economically backward students of rural regions of Jharkhand by making all essential arrangements for their education free of cost, so that they could compete with all other aspirants taking All India Level examinations.
