CCL organizes 2nd Seminar on Medical Benefits for Retired Personnel

Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, organized a seminar on "benefits of medical services" to the retired executives and non-executives at Vichar Manch, Darbhanga House, Ranchi. About 250 retired personnel including former directors of different subsidiaries of Coal India attended a mega function under the banner "Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Schemes."

On this occasion, Director(Pers) Shri R S Mahapatro, CMPF Regional Commissioner 1 Shri T R Nair, former Director Shri B P Singh, CMS( CCL) Dr. R R Sinha, GMs/HODs from different departments of headquarters, doctors from Gandhinagar Central Hospital and others dignitaries were present to grace the occasion. Retired employees came from Jamshedpur, Koderma, Hazaribagh and other districts of the state including Ranchi.

While welcoming the retired personnel, Director(Pers) Shri R S Mahapatro said that each one of you are guiding force to work more and more for the company. He also briefed them about a portal regarding “Contributory Post Retirement Medical Scheme,” which will be soon launched in the large interest of retired employees. He further briefed them about toll free number i.e., 18003456501 where one can lodge their grievances and company is committed to solve it on a time-bound manner. Shri Mahapatro also communicated the message of CMD, CCL Shri Gopal Singh during the programme about his best wishes and concerned to the retired employees.

CMPF Regional Commissioner 1 Shri T R Nair in his address touched the basic of PF and pension and its related issues like pension settlement, life certificate etc, which were concerned to the superannuated employees of the company. Dr. CP Dham, CMS, Gandhinagar Hospital has given a power point presentation on "contributory post retirement medicare scheme for executive and non-executive." After the programme, an interactive session was conducted in which retired employees raised their questions related to their personal problems and it was satisfied by the management.

Former Director Shri B P Singh also addressed the gathering and applauded the efforts of management for improving medical benefits including process of medical bill.

A programme was compered by Shri Manish Kujur, Manager(Pers), Medical department, while vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Manju Mishra. Medical Department of CCL, which organized the programme.
