CCL organizes World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Central Coalfields Limited on Saturday celebrated "World Day for Safety and Health at Work" on its premises, Darbhanga House, Ranchi. The ILO marks the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on 28th April to promote the prevention of occupations accidents and diseases globally. The similar programme was also organized at all areas of CCL.
Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL Shri Gopal Singh, Director (Tech/Oprs & P & P) Shri AK Mishra, General Managers and Head of Department of headquarters, ISO officials and others were present to grace the occasion. General Manager Shri V K Shrivastava was also present during the function.
CMD, Shri Gopal Singh in his address said that the CCL family has defined its own objective i.e., “Overall development of villagers, downtrodden and workforce." He further said that the top priority of our company is implementing various welfare schemes to serve the society and bring transformation in the society. Talking about safety, Shri Singh said that one should feel mishaps as if it happened in our own family and act accordingly. He also suggested to draft health and fitness parameters to improve health condition of an employee.
Director (Tech/Oprs & P&P) Shri AK Mishra in his address pointed out that safety word has no boundary and it is applied everywhere. He further said that at least five minutes should be invested before starting any work. He cited one simple example that before sitting on driving seat of a car, one should check its basic things like air in tires, brake etc. to avoid any incident. Another speaker, Shri V K Shrivastav said that an employee should pay full attention while performing the work. Shri Shrivastav has been selected as Director (Technical), CCL by PSEB recently.
CCL has been committed to the safety and health of its employees. The company is very vigilant towards the health of its workers.
The programme was co-ordinated by General Manger(Safety) Shri R K Singh and he talked extendedly about the safety as well health measures being implemented in the company. Safety and Rescue Department has organized the programme and its officials particularly, A K Ojha, Manisha Mohan, JK Singh, A Prasad, Amit, R P Sinha and others played significant role.
