Chairman, CIL/CMD CCL inaugurates Kayakalp Public School in Ranchi Public School in Ranchi

Chairman, Coal India Ltd./ CMD, Central Coalfields Limited Shri Gopal Singh on Monday inaugurated “Kayakalp Public School,” exclusively dedicated to needy and downtrodden children of the society at Bukru village, Ranchi.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand ShriRaghubar Das congratulated Chairman ShriGopal Singh and CCL for starting a new school for children of needy and downtrodden society in the state capital.
Director(Fin.), CCL Shri D K Ghosh, Director(Tech/Oprns) ShriSubir Chandra, Director(Pers) Shri R S Mahapatro, Director(P&P) Shri A K Mishra, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri A K Shrivastava, retired employees of CCL, principal, teachers, social workers, local political leaders and other dignitaries were present to grace the occasion. President of ArpitaMahila Club, SmtPramila Singh and other female members of WIPS were also present to grace the occasion.

School has been started with 30 students on CBSE pattern with difference from other schools. When the students will reach to 9th class, they will be given technical/skill development training as well as coaching for medical, engineering etc. so that students will be equipped with additional certificate apart from CBSE certificate. Digital Board and Wi Fi facilities will be provided to the students of this school. Four pairs of school uniform will be given to the students so that parents may not face problem in maintaining the school uniform. A free mid-day meal will be provided to the students.

Chairman, Coal India /CMD CCL has noble thought that the deprived section of the society should get same schooling facilities like other modern school where children of affluent class are studying. According to the Chairman, only criteria of enrolling in this school arepoor economic background of a child.

Addressing a gathering, Shri Singh said that children of poor families have every right to study in English medium school and CCL is committed to provide the best education facilities to them by starting school exclusively for the needy and downtrodden of the society. “All the infrastructure of the school will be the best and no compromise on quality of teaching will be there. Our objective is to create good human being so that they can play active role in nation building of the country,” Shri Singh said.

Talking about the facilities, Shri Singh said that a team of doctors of the company will check health of students on monthly basis. “Our medical teams have tested 30 children and they declared medically fit to enroll in the school for study,” Shri Singh said.
Talking about the teaching faculty, the Chairman said that retired employees and housewives, who are willing to teach these students voluntarily, will be given top priorities. He further said there will be opportunities for employees working in the company as well as retired teachers from different school to associate with this school.

On the inaugural day of school, Smt. Pramila Singh distributed school bags and took attendance of each student in presence to Chairman, Directors and retired employees. She has decided to take class voluntarily and play active role in nation building of the country.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Director (Pers) Shri R S Mahapatro and reminded that this is historical day in the history of CCL where school is opened for needy and downtrodden.
