Chairman, Coal India/ CMD CCL ShriGopal Singh on Saturday visited Hotwar Sports Complex and congratulated cadets of Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS) for their outstanding performance in the recently concluded  Rural National Games in Ranchi. JSSPS is the joint venture between CCL and Jharkhand Govt to promote sports in the international level.

Altogether 127 cadets of JSSPS participated in the Rural National Games and 108 of them won have medals under age group of 14 years. Children of 23 states participated in the national event in Ranchi.

 Addressing the JSSPS cadets and their parents, ShriGopal Singh said that it is proud moment for all of us that our children participated in the Rural National Games and won record number of
medals for the Jharkhand State. He further said that sports cadets participated in the athletics, archery, taekwondu and wrestling and won medals. 

 Applauding the role of parents,the Chairman said that children are performing outstandingly in such national events due to significant contribution of the parents and their coaches. He further said that CCL has been committed to promote sports among rural children in the state. Jerseys were distributed among 178 JSSPS cadets.

 On this occasion, Director(P&P) Shri A K Mishra, CEO, JSSPS ShriAlok Kumar, GM(TA) ShriBipin Kumar, Shri R K Jaiswal, Shri Vikrant Malhan and others were present.
