CMD CCL Shri Gopal Singh has been presented with "Udyog Bharti Award" for his outstanding achievement in business and social service at 11th International seminar on "Africa: An Unlimited Opportunity", organized by Indian Achiever’s Forum on 17th March, 2017 in New Delhi. On behalf of CMD, Shri Alok Kumar Singh, Senior Manager, received the award. 

It is well known that CCL under the leadership of Shri Gopal Singh has initiated number of new CSR initiatives. All these schemes have been based on the “Kayakalp Model of the Governance” which has “Transparency, Philanthropy and Ethics” as its core values.  Shri Singh has tried to ensure inclusive growth for the people of Jharkhand through these welfare schemes. He believes that the aim of CCL is to achieve holistic growth for downtrodden, villagers and workers. CCL has also established Jharkhand’s first Sports University in collaboration with the Jharkhand government during his tenure.
