Two days "Placement Drive" starts at CCL
Area- Headquarter, Posted on- 20-10-2016
Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has always seen itself as a responsible organization of this country. It is committed to the “Overall development of villagers, downtrodden and workforce who are directly or indirectly associated with CCL. Continuing this legacy, CCL has started skill development programs for unemployed youth from Project Affected Families (PAPs) spread out in command areas of the company at ITI, MSDC, Mining Sirdarship Training etc. These meritorious rural youths are being trained as electrician, welders. Two batches with a total strength of 92 students have already completed training at MSDC. 43 students were selected by different companies in the “Employment fair” organized by CCL in January and April, 2016.
The aim of this scheme has not only been to provide training to these rural youths but also to ensure employment for them. Earlier in January and April this year, CCL had organized placement drive under the leadership of CMD CCL, Sri Gopal Singh for these students at “Vichar Manch” Darbhanga House, Ranchi. Extending this noble initiative, “Two Days Job Fair” started today for dependents/wards of CCL Employees/Ex Employees at CCL headquarter. The companies will be recruiting students from different trades and fields such as electrician, welder, fitter and others. 514 students have registered for the two day job fair, out of which 256 appeared on first day. On the first day 23 companies participated in the job fair.
Today participating companies like L&T, HEC, Cummins, STI Marketing, Allsion etc gave a brief introduction about their respective organizations and their requirement specially electrician, welder, fitter, etc. They appreciated this initiative of CMD CCL Sri Gopal Singh for providing this unique platform to both, employer and educated youths. They added that this effort form CCL is particularly helpful to the youth from ruler areas. The results of the interviews will be declared tomorrow at the end of the placement drive.
