Record 674 people get free treatment in CCL's "Mega Health Camp"

CCL organized Free "Mega Health Camp" at "Jan Arogya Kendra", Gandhinagar on Sunday. In the health camp people from in and around Ranchi especially tribal, downtrodden and villagers took benefit from free check-up and received free medicines too. In the health camp around 30 specialists like- ophthalmologist, Dentist, Orthopedic, Pediatrician, Gynecologist etc. treated record 674 people. Also arrangements were made for free Pathological Tests, X-Ray, and Ultrasound etc for the benefit of the patients. 

Chief Guest of the "Mega Health Camp" CMD, CCL Sri Gopal Singh congratulated organizers for successful organization of the camp. He said that the motivation behind this camp is very solemn and helping the needy is our religion. He said that it is our duty to ensure basic facilities like education, health service for the people in and around Ranchi especially our tribal brothers and sisters and this health camp is an important part of this campaign. Sri Singh added that it is only in a healthy body that healthy ideas are generated, which help in the progress of the country and society.

He said that this health camp is the live example of CCL’s commitment for welfare of the tribal, destitute, villagers and workers. Sri Gopal Singh thanked particularly the young volunteers who worked in selfless manner for the success of the camp. He also appreciated the role of Media for extending their full support.

CMD Sri Singh along with Director (Personnel) Sri R S Mahapatra inspected the camp and took stock of the all the services that were provided by the CCL. They also came face to face with the patients and heard their problems. 

The health camp was coordinated by Dr. Nandita Agrawal, Dr. P.K. Gupta, Dr. C.P. Dham, and other Doctors from Central Hospital Gandhinagar. Sri VN Prasad GM (Welfare), Sri Gopal Prasad, GM (Admn.), Sri S.K. Bhagat, Sri Alok Gupta and other officers and employees were also present on the occasion. Local volunteers, Pravin Kumar, Basant Oraon, Vikash Kumar, Sanjay Lakra, Vishwas Kujur, Jungesh, Sudhir Minj, Rakesh, John Lakra, Anthony Sanga, Champa Tirkey, Pappu Toppo, Visheshar Khalkho, Vijay Tirkey, Sanatan Oraon and others played special role in the success of the heath camp.  

It is to be noted that CCL had planned to organize the “Mega Health Camp” at Kamde, Ranchi and all the preparation regarding the camp had been done. However the venue had to be changed to “Jan Arogya Kendra” Gandhinagar as few encroachers have come up against this camp and also threaten to disturb the law and order. CCL in the better interest of tribal, downtrodden and others decided to go ahead with the camp but with the changed venue. In the wake of this new development CCL had made arrangements for bringing people to the camp through bus and ambulance from places in and around Ranchi.
